From your first look, you'll know that the Crying Cloud is a different kind of brush, looking like nothing else in the webshop. Made of pure white feathers from the breast of a chicken, this brush is a specialty brush that can still find many uses.

Due to its material, the brush is especially soft, making it very difficult to master. However, the brush can be used to create uniquely textured strokes that can't be replicated by any other brush.

The truly one-of-a-kind effects can be effectively used in both calligraphy and painting, though some practice will be required to get the hang of this distinctive brush. Many artists use the brush for sumi-e landscape paintings, as well as abstract work. The brush can be used for large script calligraphy as well once the artist is comfortable with the brush, and will produce a unique calligraphy texture.
