PRACTICE AND PERFECT - Unsized Practicing Shuen Paper

An Unsized (Unprocessed) Single Shuen (Xuan) Paper which serves well for practicing Kanji and Chinese Calligraphy Writing and Sumi-e Painting.

Please note that the writing effect on the paper is not only affected by the material and quality of the paper but also the density of the ink which means that the reference picture could be not showing 100% of the real effect.

Just about everything you need to know about the Practice & Perfect is right there in its name. It is a specialty paper made specifically for practicing sumi-e painting and Chinese and Japanese calligraphy (Shodo).

To aid with these art forms, the paper is a single-ply Shuen Paper that is unprocessed. This makes the paper very soft and highly absorbent, which will aid in the easy ink flow these styles require.

The Practice & Perfect is not as long lasting or durable as handmade Shuen paper, but it does provide the perfect platform on which to practice calligraphy and oriental painting. Additionally, the simple, white and unadorned paper will allow you to work unhindered by any extraneous markings.
