CALLIGRAPHY SPECIALIST - Unsized Single Shuen Paper

An excellent Unsized (Unprocessed) Single Shuen Paper that is specially made for Calligraphy Writing which made us add it to our Dancing Grace Specialist Paper Series. It is also a good paper for Sumi-e Painting.

Please note that the writing effect on the paper is not only affected by the material and quality of the paper but also the density of the ink which means that the reference picture could be not showing 100% of the real effect. Sharing the experience and writing result of this product by our customers is highly welcome and appreciated.

As its name implies, the Calligraphy Specialist is designed specifically for calligraphy use. This stems from the fact that the paper is white, soft and very highly absorbent.

Perhaps most importantly, the Calligraphy Specialist is highly ink reserved, meaning that as soon as the ink is on the paper, its shape will be "locked" and will not run on the paper or bleed into other characters.

Preceding the name of this paper, Dancing Grace is the distinction of all paper in the webshop specially selected for customers of Asian Brushpainter. Because of this, this paper is of the highest quality, and will meet your every need as an artist.

Though this paper is at its best when used for calligraphy, it can also be used for painting, as well as for Encaustics. Encaustics is the art of painting with hot beeswax that has color pigment added to it.
